Buttons & modes

Your ROCK your BABY has three buttons: Plus (+), Minus (−) and Music (♪). Next to each button (and next to the status indicator) sits a pair of colored lights.

Buttons react when you release them — that’s why holding a button can mean something different from tapping it.

Everyday actions

If a press can’t do anything right now (you’re already at the highest level, or the device is busy switching modes), the lights next to that button flash red twice to say “not possible”.

Rocking mode (the default)

This is the mode the device starts in — the status lights are green.

You start the rocking by hand; after about five steady swings the motor joins in and keeps your rhythm going. It stops automatically when the motion fades, when you hold the cradle still, or when the device is bumped or picked up.

Strength: five levels, changed with Plus/Minus. The device starts at level 2 out of 5 the first time; after that it remembers your last choice.

Continuous mode

In continuous mode the device’s drive turns steadily in one direction instead of rocking back and forth — the status lights are pink.

• Switch modes by holding Plus and Minus together for 2 seconds. While the device changes over, the status lights alternate between green and pink; the switch takes a few seconds because any current movement is stopped first.
• Continuous mode always starts stopped. Press Plus to start turning and to go faster, Minus to slow down and stop. There are six speed steps, and speed changes ramp smoothly.
• Automatic start/stop does not apply here — you control it entirely with the buttons.

To go back, hold Plus and Minus for 2 seconds again — the status lights return to green.

What the device remembers

The mode, rocking strength, volume, and your last-played song are saved automatically and restored the next time you switch the device on.
