Safety
Please read this page before using your ROCK your BABY for the first time.
Built-in protections
Section titled “Built-in protections”Your ROCK your BABY watches its own movement and stops the motor automatically when:
- the device is picked up or carried,
- the cradle gets a sudden bump or jolt,
- the rocking fades out or stops for about a second.
This is normal — just give the cradle a fresh push when you want it to continue.
During start-up
Section titled “During start-up”The ROCK your BABY is fully enclosed — it has no external moving parts.
Every time you switch the device on, it performs a short self-calibration to find its balance point. The status lights pulse blue while it measures.
- Keep the device completely still during this time — don’t carry, rock or turn it. Any movement disturbs the measurement.
- If calibration fails, the device stops and the status lights show a fast red double-blink (fault). Switch the device off and on again, and leave it still until the blue pulse ends.
Continuous mode
Section titled “Continuous mode”Besides the normal rocking assist, the device has a continuous mode in which its drive turns steadily in one direction (see Buttons & modes). When trying it out, start at a low speed and increase step by step.
Firmware updates
Section titled “Firmware updates”Only update the firmware through the official updater described in Updating the firmware. Your device is safe even if an update is interrupted — you can simply unplug it and try again.
