Troubleshooting
Find your problem below — device first, then the firmware updater.
The device
Section titled “The device”The status lights double-blink red fast
Section titled “The status lights double-blink red fast”The self-calibration after switch-on didn’t succeed. The usual cause is the device being moved, rocked or turned while the status lights pulsed blue — movement disturbs the measurement it uses to find its balance point.
Fix: switch the device off, place it on its holder on the cradle, and turn it on again. Leave it still until the blue calibration pulse ends.
The rocking assist doesn’t kick in
Section titled “The rocking assist doesn’t kick in”The device waits for about five steady swings at a normal rocking pace before joining in.
Fix: rock the cradle evenly and not too fast or too slow. The green blinking speeds up as it counts your swings. It also won’t start while the device is being carried or the motion is jerky.
The rocking stops by itself
Section titled “The rocking stops by itself”That’s a safety feature, not a defect: the motor stops when the motion fades or stops, or the device is bumped or picked up.
Fix: give the cradle a fresh push to start again.
Pro tip: some combinations of cradle and surface work better with the rocking mode, some with the continuous mode. Try what works best for your case.
A button press only makes the lights flash red
Section titled “A button press only makes the lights flash red”The device is telling you that press can’t work right now — you’re already at the highest/lowest level, or it’s busy switching modes.
Fix: wait a moment, or check which level you’re on via the button lights.
No music plays
Section titled “No music plays”Check:
- Tap Music once — playback doesn’t start on its own.
- Turn the volume up: hold Music and tap Plus.
The firmware updater
Section titled “The firmware updater”Whatever went wrong: your device is safe. Unplugging it never causes damage, even in the middle of an update.
“Please use Chrome or Edge on a computer”
Section titled ““Please use Chrome or Edge on a computer””Your browser can’t talk to the device. Open the updater in Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge on a Windows, Mac or Linux computer — phones, tablets, Safari and Firefox won’t work.
The device isn’t in the browser’s list
Section titled “The device isn’t in the browser’s list”- Check the USB cable is fully plugged in at both ends.
- Try a different USB port or cable (some cables are charge-only and carry no data).

Section titled ““No firmware available yet””The newest firmware isn’t ready on the server right now. Try again in a few minutes.
“Couldn’t reach the update server”
Section titled ““Couldn’t reach the update server””Your computer couldn’t contact the update server. Check your internet connection and try again.
“The update did not finish”
Section titled ““The update did not finish””Something interrupted the update — a wobbly cable is the usual cause. Your device is safe: unplug it, plug it back in firmly, and start over.
